Hi everyone I hope you all are doing well. I know you miss your students as much as I do. I am trying to send my stem-e club some videos, links to websites, and activities they can do during this time. This post is about wetlands and the career of a Wetlands Specialists. I have included a video from Bill Nye the Science about wetlands. Last week I took a walk to a wetlands area below my home and videoed a beaver dam, raccoon tacks by the water, marsh areas and more. I also read the students a non-fiction book about wetlands. This is a follow up to those videos.
Hey boys and girls. I wanted to do a stem-e lesson for you. The video below is Bill Nye the Science Guy talking about Wetlands. This is an extension to the videos I sent to you from my nature walk to the Wetland below my house. Here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-xrj01xi3E&t=552s
I have also included a link to a site that gives a description of a Wetlands specialist job. The website is https://www.environmentalscience.org/career/wetland-specialist Here is also a link that shows you how to make an underwater viewing device http://onetimethrough.com/homemade-underwater-magnifying-glass/*****Please remember only do these exploring activities with your parent's permission and do not go around bodies of water without your parents.
Please send me photos of your explorations and thoughts about this career.
